Annual Quiz Night—It’s a fun winter’s night to pit your brains against others in a team environment and help us raise funds for our projects. Vie for the commemorative tea pot!
International Women’s Day—Celebrated each year on March 8, our club endeavours to hold a special event, such as a breakfast with guest speakers. It’s a great opportunity to come together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Australia Day Breakfast—Members join with Clare’s three other Service Clubs (Rotary, Lions and Apex) to cook and serve breakfast to hundreds of residents and visitors at the request of the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council who generously provide all clubs with a donation for their efforts.
Women’s Honour Roll – Applications for inclusion on the honour roll at the Zonta Garden at the northern entrance to Clare are called annually. We are pleased to receive nominations for regional women of significance.
White Ribbon Ride & Vigil —An annual event to raise awareness of Australia’s campaign to prevent violence against women which incorporates a bike ride along the Riesling Trail.
Dishcloths & Scrubbies—A current project to knit and crochet cotton dishcloths and scrubbies for sale at market stalls.
Cheesemaking—cheesemaking classes are held from time to time as club fundraisers.
Film Nights—fundraising film nights with pre-movie snacks and wine.
Other fundraisers—We are always pleased to hear about any suggestions for innovative ways to raise funds for our projects.
